Definition of Broadcast Network:

A type of network in which audio and video content is transferred from a single source to multiple devices.

Broadcast network is also found in bus and star topology. In bus topology, one node transfers data to all the nodes and the target node gets the data. Similarly, a central router sends data to all the attached nodes in a star topology.

Radio and TV broadcasting is a type of broadcast network.

The broadcast network can be national transmission or worldwide transmission. This type of network also follows government rules and standards. The broadcast network delivers entertainment, news, educational and sports content to the audience.

The new broadcast network uses the internet, satellite, digital radio and cable. Government agencies use this network to get donations from the public and also promote content enriching the culture of the country.

To overcome expenses, this network add advertisement between the programs.

This network uses electromagnetic waves and radio waves to transfer audio and video data to the targeted devices. Old transmission uses analog signals but new transmission uses digital signals. The digital transmission sends high-quality videos and audio to the audience.
